Trip Description: Let's meet at 8:30 to paddle at 9:00. We will paddle upstream on Clear Creek past I-45 to Challenger 7 Memorial Park for a lunch stop, then return to the launch site for a total of ten miles. Please dress for the conditions that day. It's a Level 1 trip but the route is semi-protected and may get windy in less protected areas. We should see a variety of birds, alligator gar, and, if we're very lucky, a few bears, rattlesnakes, and tarantulas.
If weather looks bad on Wednesday, this might get moved to Tuesday,
Directions: I-45 to FM 518, left on FM 518 past Hwy 3 to Hwy 270 (Egret Bay Blvd). Left on Egret Bay Blvd, keep left to League City Boat Ramp and Park under the bridge.

Hazards: There may be water skiing or boat traffic. Possible debris in water. Bring good sun and rain protection, lunch, and ample water.

This is an ACA sanctioned event. All participants in ACA-insured activities must wear properly-fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets (Personal Flotation Devices, or PFDs) at all times during on-water activities. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver.

Guests – You are welcome to join us for a couple of paddle trips. HASK will cover the $10 ACA event membership for non-ACA members. Hopefully you will then join HASK and continue paddling with us.
